Dear Len:

On behalf of the members and the Board of Directors of the ‘Port Coquitlam
Figure Skating Club, we vespectfully request consideration to host the
1984 B.C. Section Precision Championship.

As a matter of reference, the Port Coquitlam Figure Skating Club has
successfully hosted the Fraser Valley Zane Championships in the years

1978 and 1980. As a point of interest, we were told by representatives
of the B.C. Coast Region at the conclusion of the 1980 Championship thac
this championship had been the largest zone competition in Canada for that

particular year.

The facilities available to us in Port .Coquitlam are, excellent for hoscing
figure skating championships. The Port Coquitlam Recreation Centre
contains the following amenities under one roof:

- two full size ice rinks inter~connected with ample dressing room
facilities;

a common lobby containing the usual concessions enabling competitors
and. spectators to purchase hot meals;

excellent music equipment thac was purchased new prior to the 1980
Fraser Valley Zone Championships;

seating capacity in our main ice rink would be approximately 600;

ample packing surrounding our Recreation Centre igs available;
