Mayor and Council, City Nall, Port Coquitian. Gentlemen, On behalf of the residents living on the rorth side of Larkspur [rive, we would like to ask Council to reconsider the’ plan for a, pedestrian walkway linking Coast Meridian Road with Larch Way « ; The existing lane from Larch Way provides sufficient access to the Firchlend ‘anor Fark for the residents within the Birchland Manor sub-division and vedestrian acces from the new development, to the west of the Pir’ hiand "anor Park, could easily be provided. Pedestrian ‘access is also available to residents on the north side of the park. . ? . The proposed lane from Coast Meridian, which would link-up with the existing lane from Larch \ Way to Birchland Nanor Park, will provide no useful purpose - in fect it is considered by sone of the residents that such a lane would cause a safety hazard to persons walking through a heavily shrubbed azea. It is unéerstood that monies have already been alloc ated for the proposed access fron Coast Meridian and it is recozmended instead that these monies be spent on upgrading the park an@ the present access points rather than Giplicating existing accesses.
