Prior to passage of the foregoing resolution, the Recreation Director expressed concern with respect to the dimensions of the soccer pitch, and Acting-Mayor Alderman Thompson suggested that the motion be proceeded with at this time on the understanding that an amendment may be necessary — following a meeting thereon with representatives of the Soccer Association. Carried. Alderman Traboulay voted against the resolution. Prior to passage of the foregoing resolution, Alderman Traboulay eo oe a eee stated he was opposed to construction of a parking lot at that location as he understood from previous discussions it was to be a grassed park area; also, he stated he objected to money being made available for such a project when other needed imprevements in the City are not being proceeded with due to lack of funds. Alderman Keryluk stated his under- standing that the No Parking signs on Flint Street would not be installed until after completion of the parking lot, and the City Engineer advised that this was correct. Moved by Alderman Mabbett: Seconded by Alderman Ranger: That as recommended in a report from the Public Works and Leisure Activities Committees, May 28th, 1976, "No Parking" restrictions be placed on the West side of Flint Street from Fraser Avenue to Coquitlam Avenue.
