In answer to a query from Alderman Keryluk, the Planning Officer advised that there would be 9 2-bedroom units, 2 1-bedroom units and 2 bachelor units, and to his further query advised that the units would be strata title. Mr. D. Raincock, 2227 Kelly Avenue, stated he felt that the 6' high solid board fence which would abut the rear of his and neighbouring properties would create a very unattractive view, and the Planning Officer advised that the idea of the fence is to screen off the access for cars; also,it was pointed out that the fence would be on the inside of the property line with a cedar hedge facing the rear of the properties on Kelly Avenue. The Zoning Public Hearing then adjourned at 7:40 p.m., and the regular Council meeting commenced. CONFIRMATION OF MINUTES: ‘Minutes - Feb. DELEGATIONS: Kinsmen Club From the Kinsmen Club of Port Coquitlam, referring to the establishment (Heritage Day)- Canadiana area Of Heritage Day as a National Holiday, and stating that in order to 1 ocal library provide something tangible in connection therewith, it was intended by that organization to sponsor a Kinsmen Canadiana area in the Public Library ~ approximately 120-150 square feet ~ set aside by movable dividers with a table and chairs - and stocked with books of all kinds by Canadian authors only. Moved by Alderman Ranger: Seconded by Alderman Keryluk: That the Municipal Couneil of the Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam accepts, on behalf of the Citizens of Port Coquitlam, the suggestion of the Kinsmen Club of Port Coquitlam to sponsor a Kinsmen Canadiana area in the Public Library in commemoration of Heritage Day. Carried. Alderman Traboulay commended the Kinsmen Club of Port Coquitlam for its very worthwhile project which will be ongoing not only in Port Coquitlam, but throughout Canada.
