Eng., a Deputy City Engineer/ : Operations Manager 4 SUBJECT: Tender for Dump Truck Tenders for a Tandem Dump Truck were opened recently. Eight tenders including an alternate were submitted. The prices ranged from $67,804.23 to $102,683.26 as summarized in the attached recap sheet. Subsequent to the tender opening the lowest tender was withdrawn by Zephyr Ford because they : detected an error in thelr submisston. In analysing the tenders, we noted that the tender submitted by Pacific G.M.C. in the amount of $88,358.40 is the lowest tender which substantially meets our specifications. i There ere two items in this tender which fall short of our specifications. Firstly, one portion of the frame has a section modules of 28.92 cubic inches which Is lower than our . specification of 34 cubic inches. Secondly, the tender does include the supply of maintenance and servicing manuals. i not The t!owest valid tender submitted by Totem Mercury is i $71,755.90.
