“Euay Bras GO LU ik APR 2 1979 THE CORPORATION OF THE CITY OF PORT COQUITLAM MEMORANDUM TO: Mayor and Council March 30th, 1979 FROM: Public Works Committee Re: Garbage Collection - Information Mailer to All Residents The City has authorized several changes to residential garbage pickup during the past winter. These include closure of the Welcher Dump and elimination of cleanup week. As part of our cost cutting efficiencies, it is also desireable to reorganize the pickup routes so that all trucks work ina concentrated area on any given day of the week. To provide this information to the residents, the City Engineer has prepared a draft notice which can be sent out to all residents. A copy of the draft is attached. The actual notice to be sent out, if approved by Council, will be type set and laid out in a more attractive format by a local printer for mailing to all residents by third class mail. The cost of type setting and printing 9,300 copies for general distribution to all householders is $560.00. Postage at 4.8¢ per delivery comes to $446.00. The total of $1,000.00 is available in the currently approved refuse coll- ection budget. The Committee recommends that this mailer be sent out to all households. Respectfully submitted, F.E. Peters, P, Eng., FEP/vw City Engineer. Attached,
