April 7th, 1975 Moved by Alderman Keryluk: Seconded by Alderman Laking: That with respect to rezoning application R#2/75, the developer be requested to brief the residents of the surrounding area on the proposal and entertain any input that may be forthcoming on the briefing; following which the Planning & Zoning Committee would then bring in a recommendation to Council for debate and disposal of the matter. Carried. Aldermen Mabbett, Ranger and Thompson voted against the resolution. Prior to passage of the foregoing resolution, Mr. Bjornson commented he had been involved with a Committee to work with the public; however, the Council does not have a technique right now to draw off information, and he pointed out that the aspirations of a developer are not always concurrent with people in an area.
