JOHN AND GERTRUDE Bahr were one of the fist five families
to colonize Old Remo. When they first moved to Terrace in the

1950s, the couple remembers the town’s streets were a
treacherous muddy boa f for both pedestrians and vehicles.

Hwy. 7, take a ferry boat
across the Skeena and board a
train to travel west to Prince
Rupert,

The Bahrs took up farming
at old Remo, and the family
still farms actively to this day.
