Edna was born June 12, 1908 at Stuart Landing (now known as Copper City). Her parents were Simeon and Jemima Dobbie. The Dobbies raised a large fam- ily and Edna leaves behind two sisters. Bertie and Roberta who still live in Terrace. Edna ‘started her schooling in her parents home at Stuart Land- ing in a small room at the back of the house then used as a school for the neighbouring children. She later came into Terrace for her high school grades at the ald Kalum School. Chris Toelstra said the grace and a wonderful roast beef dinner was catered by the Ladies of the Royal Purple. Following the dinner, guests were entertained by dancer Lon- nie Klukas who did the tradi- tional sword dance, and Jim Al- len, who played several selec- lions on the bagpipes.
