ae Zone 7 takes 53 medals Superb individual ef- forts by Michael Stamhuis of Prince Rupert and Dawn Pasacreta of Kitimat paced Zone 7 to a total of 53 medals at the B.C. Summer Games in Cran- brook on the July 12 weekend. Stamhuis comes home with nine medals won in the masters’ section of swimming. His total was made up of three silver and six bronze medals. Pasacreta struck gold every time she hit the water. She ended up with six number one medals in the girls’ Canadian amateur swimming association races. She won the 50 freestyle, 100 backstroke, 100 free- style, 100 breaststroke, 100 butterfly and 400 in- dividual medley. Stamhuis picked up silver in the 100 back, 200 free and 50 breast. His collection of bronze came in the 50 and 100 free, the 50 butterfly, 100 individual medley and two relay races. Other winners were as follows from this zone.
