WHEREAS there is an unappropriated balance of $1,552,675.00 as at September 15th, 1983 in the Tax Sale Lands Reserve Fund consisting of monies received from the sale of tax sale properties including interest earned thereon and set aside in accordance with the provisions of Section 380 of the "Municipal Act", which amount has been calculated as follows: Balance in Reserve Fund at December 3ist, 1982 $ 1,091,407.00 Add: Additions to fund since Decemoder 3ist, 1982 including interest earned to September 15th, 1983 $ 461,268.00 Balance in Reserve Fund at September 15th, 1983 $ 1,552,675.00 ‘AND WHEREAS no sinking funds have been or were required to be established; AND WHEREAS it is deemed desirable to expend from the amount. so set aside the sum of $550,000.00 to purchase real property: AND WHEREAS the approval of the Minister of Municipal Affairs has been obtained; NUW THEREFORE the Municipal Council of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam, in open meeting assembled, enacts as follows: The sum of $550,000.00 is hereby appropriated from the Tax Sale Lands Reserve Fund: tor the following purchases of real property: ; 7 ; (a) ‘Lot 8, District Lot 379, Group |, Plan 3106, New $135,000.00 westminster District Lot 9, District Lot 379, Group 1, Plan 3106, New $100,000.00 Westminster District Lor 10, District Lot.379, Group !, Plan 3106, New '$ 87,750.00 Westminstér District Lot 11 and west 30 feet of Lot 12, District Lot 379, $193,000.00 Group 1, Plan 3106, New Westminster District Adjustment, Legal & Transfer fees, etc. $ 32,250.00 $550,000.00 the said properties being required in order to facilitate the reconstruction of the "Kingsway Bridge” crossing the Coquitlam River. Should any of the amount expropriated remain unexpended after the expenditures hereby authorized have been made, the unexpended balance shall be returned to the credit of the said Tax Sale Lands Reserve Fund. This Bylaw may be cited for all purposes as the “Tax Sale Land Reserve Fund Expenditure Bylaw, 1985, No. 1999".
