Carried. DELEGATIONS: Delegation- Cornwall- Osprey area re Nu West development From Mr. A. Kuppan, 3331 Cornwall Street, November 26th, 1976, on behalf of the residents of Cornwall Street and Osprey Place, advising of their strong opposition to change Cornwall Street from a quiet residential deadend street to a through street connecting Prairie Raad to the proposed Nu West subdivision. The City Administrator advised he had just circulated a petition from the residents concerned and that a delegation was in attendance to speak to their objections. Prior to members of the delegation being heard, Acting-Mayor Alderman Thompson advised that the subject would be again reviewed by the Planning & Zoning Committee at its meeting on December 2nd, 1976 at 3:45 p.m., and that a further report thereon would be submitted to Council. On invitation of Acting-Mayor Alderman Thompson, Mr. Bruce Scott, 3259 Cornwail Street, referred to the recently-held Public Information Meeting at which time the proposed Nu West housing development adjacent to Osprey Place and Cornwall Street was discussed, and he advised that when he purchased his home on Cornwall Street in 1972, he was given to understand that Cornwall would remain a deadend street. Mr. Scott suggested a third street intersecting Cedar Drive coul¢ be constructed to provide access to the development rather than extending Coinwall Street, as the latter, being a shorter and more direct route, will then become the main access, In conclusion, Mr, Scott prevailed upon members of Council and th. Develeper to leave Cornwall Street as it is now - a ree)
