Respectfully submitted. / i : Re: STOP Sign on Penny Place at Eastern Drive The Committee recommends that the Traffic By-law be amended to authorize the placement of a STOP sign on Penny Place at Eastern Drive, and on Hawthorne Avenue at Tyner Street. ITEM II | Re: Sweeper Replacement Reference is made to the Committee Report dated September 19th, 1975 which was approved by Council at the regular meeting held September 22nd, 1975. Tenders have been received for the supply of a vacuum type sweeper and a summary is attached. Aiso attached is-a report from the Works & Utilities Superintendent dated October 23rd, 1975. The Committee recommends that the Elgin Whirlwind machine supplied by A.R. Williams Machinery Ltd. be purchased at their tendered price of $45,827.25 and that both the revenue from the Equipment Reserve Fund and the Equipment Purchase Account for replacement equipment be increased by this amount. ITEM III Re: John Deere 410 Backhoe Attached hereto is a report from the Works & Utilities Superin- tendent dated October 17th, 1975. This situation boils down to two alter- natives: . 1. Keep the present machine and hope that now that the warranty period has expired ,the major mechanical difficulties are finally resolved. : 2. Trade up to a new 1976 machine with 12 month warranty for. $4,200.00. co , The Committee endorses Mr. Ulmer's recommendation and recommends that Council approve this trade.
