SUGGESTED GUIDELINES res INFORMAL SNFORMATION MEETINGS Prior to the plan coming to Council, the Planning Committee sets up an informal information meeting. Invitations should be sent cut to all those reople who may be affected by the development (School catchment area). Meeting is opened by the Planning Committee chairperson who explains why the proposal is being brought to the resi- dents and emphasizes that NC approval has been given, It is merely in the conceptual stage. He also indicates that copies of the City's genexval policies regarding development, zoning, growth, phasing, etc. ere available. The developer is then called upon to describe the proposal-- with plans, drawings, slides, and in some instances archi- tects and planners. etc. . Individual comment is invited, provicing the person gives name and address. Questions pertaining to the development itself are directed to the developer to ansver. School trustees, Engineering Dept. Staff answer any questions pertaining to off-site servicing, traffic patterns, school accomodation, Planning Committee chairperson re-emphasozes that plan is still only a conceptual one which is subject to many changes and revisions.
