Re: Request for Rezoning -— Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church
3141 Chester Street - R#14/76 .

Alderman Laking, as Chairman of the City's Land Use Committee, has asked
me to advise Council that at the last meeting of the Land Use Committee it
was agreed that a Report would be prepared for Council recommending that
the above-noted property be rezoned from its present Zoning of RS-1 (One
Family Residential) to its correct Zone of P-~2 (Special Institutional).

This request has been made by. the Church and will place the property in
its correct Zone. This matter is apparently of some urgency as the Church
anticipates commencing a pre~school programme in September and this can
apparently not be done until the property is in the correct Zone.
