During his years in B.C., Orleans’ has been involved in marine construction, like government wharfs, down the coast. He owns Minette Bay Marina in Kitimat and ran a ferry for a while bet- ween Prince Rupert and Kin- | colith. a - A nation-wide competition was won by Orleans to provide — large and powerful tug boats to . carry coal chips dockside at § Ridley Island by Prince Rupert. . A projection.of his plans for the entire hot springs area can be ‘seen on the wall in the upstairs landing of the present motel. ‘‘It . is beginning at 500 acres but will eventually cover 1,000 acres - when the golf course is com- pleted,” he said. He plans on completing one phase at atime ~ as it is feasible. _ Presently in operation are a. hot pool and warm mineral swimming pool with waterslides, motel, lounge and restaurant with banquet facilities. .The grand opening date is yet to be decided upon. There is a resort hotel and convention centre slated for the future, an R.V.
