Madsen .| drawn up at the last regular meet- ‘| istrative | which each individual Sermon later, it came to me that some- times it’s only size that separates children from adults. If we"would stop and take a good hard look at the things which consume: our time, I beliéve that many of us would also discover that we are really busy getting dizzy, _ Whén we view life in its totality, we cannot help being amazed at the vast amount of time and effort men. expend to attain some- thing which they cannot keep, and are so cancerned getting, that they hever really enjoy it, a Christ asked a most pertinent question one day, a question which as yet, many people have been at a loss to answer. ‘The query I refer to is: “What will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, but looses his own life?” Surely it is a form of dizziness when men and women totally ignore as unimport- ant, that which they cling to most desperately, and are willing to pay for most dearly, when. they are told that they may. no longer have il; life itself. And in many instances it is not until that ‘pre- cise moment when a human being must admit that he is not the master of his life, that he wonders ‘why he wasted what was given to |. him. Net until it is too late is there a clarification of what is busyness and what is dizziness. If only a minute proportion of the time spent on seeking surface happiness and social status, was spent in searching out the true ‘goal of life. There would be less dizziness and more busyness with the things that really matter, and count, — the concerns of everlast- ing life. We live in a society that fs mo- tivated and impregnated by a real sense of urgency, There is a tush to. cram as much activity into: each | day as possible. But if this urgent activity ig only concerned with this worldly wealth, tell me ‘What does it profit a man?” It’s horribly shallow investment, It's dizziness, not busyness. .
