REST SHOW OF SEASON - League Pohle makes shots count POHLE LUMBER 7 GORDON & ANDERSON 4 Pohle Lumber skated to a 7 to 4 win over Gordon and Anderson last Thursday night in a Commercial hockey game. Though outshot 35 to 29 the Pohle team scored three goals in the final period to sew up the win and give them a three point lead over the cellar dwelling G&A squad, Bob Cooper scored the first goal of the game midway ‘through the first frame on a nice setup by Daryl DeWynter and Maurice Ebel. Pohle took a two goal lead in the second period, Randy McDonald scoring on a pass in front by Sev Piattoni. Dale Kushner got the second assist. ‘John Lozier put Gordon and Anderson on the score sheet with just over five minutes left in the period, scoring an unassiste marker. A minute later Pohle Lumber came back — Sev Piatton! from John Taylor and Lynn Kraeling making the score 3 to 1 for Pohle Lumber, With 2:56 left in the second period Brad Letham was sent in all alone on the Pohle netminder and scored with a high shot, Harold Olsen and Bob Bogart assisting. Their last win was a 10 to 2 thrashing of the ‘Kitimat All Stars. Rino Michaud scored the first goal of the contest with four minutes gone, assisted by Dick Shinde and Terrace was on its way. Michaud made it 2 to 0 five minutes later, Shinde again picking up the assist.
