what is the Role of the Staff Social Planner?

coordinates the activities of the Social Development Council
and its committees

facilitates the involvement of community members in the
planning, coordination and effective delivery of community
services

works with community members and organizations to develop a
social development plan for District 43

Maintains a current data base of community services and
organizations serving District 43

conducts research as needed to facilitate social planning
initiatives

liases with other community organizations, agencies,
political bodies

assists the Board of Directors in raising necessary funding
to carry out the activities of the SDC
