During the hottest part of the summer, a thin stalk
emerges from between the sticky leaves. It bears a
cluster of 4-5 pink or white flowers.

Since these are small and delicate, only tiny midges,
gnats and mosquitoes “are able to pollonize the

the same insects that cross-pollinate the flowers are
