I was asked by the members of the Senior Citizens to publicly commend
, the Port Moody Police Department and the R.C.M.P. for their excellent picnic that
was held at Rocky Point Park in Port Moody. " Unfortunately, it rained; but
everything was taken in its stride and all activities were moved into the
Recreation Centre. So, from the Senior Citizens, I would like to thank the
Police for their efforts. From the City, I would like to commend them for this
‘act of public relations, which certainly goes a long way towards a smooth

operation between citizens and the Police. This is an excellent idea and I

hope that it is continued in the future.
