Singles went to Ted Taylor, Derek Phillips, Rod Epp and Mitch Shinde. In Terrace’s 7-5 victory in game two, Epp had a three-goal performance. Taylor, Shinde, Kevin Kennedy and Jason Wiley padded out our scoring. The Inland Kenworth ban- tams also came out with a pair of wins at Kitimat. They started with a 10-0 shutout of the hometown Lions, with Jason McKaig rapping in three to set the mood, Mike Wiebenga and Jared Ewart each contributed two goals. Singles went to Vinny Red- mond, Clint Prest and Shane Maitland. The second game saw Terrace post a 9-3 win behind Wiebenga and McKaig two-goal efforts. Redmond, Ewart, Dennis Ban- ister, Doug Stewart and Davey Jones filled out the rest of the scoring. The Skeena Cellulose peewees were short on players, who had gone to Smithers for high school volleyball finals. Terrace managed a 5-5 tie against Rup- ert’s peewees in the first game, but lost the second 5-1. Kelly . ‘Gingles had two goals. for Terrace in the opener, Chad Wilson, Brian Cox and Shane. Former Ter- race resident Ben Biagoni of the Delta Flyers is seventh in scoring with 35 points. The Interior Division has lan Alger of Terrace and Mark Greyeyes of Vernon in the top 10 scoring list. Alger is tied with two other players for seventh place on 31 points. Greyeyes is right behind with 30 points. Both play for the Vernon Lakers. Wilkinson had four assists. In game two, Jason Waldron spoil- ed Rupert’s shutout bid. The All Seasons atoms shared a couple of high scoring games against Kitimat’s Rotary atoms. Kitimat won the opener 12-9, but Terrace took the nightcap 9-5, In the loss, David Broek blasted home four goals when Ken Lavoie chipped in with three. Norm Laderouite and Devon Van Hulle had singles. In the victory, Lavoie came up with four goals, while the others went to Laderoute, Van Hulle, Broek, Eddie Dollemore and Jassie Osei-Tutu. The airline had neglected to load the baggage compartment with sticks, pads, uniforms, etc. This meant cancellation of the Friday night game, meaning a loss of several hundred dollars to the Blackhawks. The gear finally arrived Satur- day afternoon and the teams played a-Saturday night game that saw the Hawks score four times in the last period to count a 6-5 win. Esquimalt took period leads of 2-1 and 4-2. The winning goal by Neilson Thomas came with five minutes left in the game. Lawrence Stella set the Hawks’ pace with two goals. With the help of several local squash enthusiasts, Terrace Rac- quet Club manager Brock Wal- dron spent all day Nov. 8 in con- verting one of the racquetball courts at Northwest Community College into a squash court. Waldron explained that it was done by building another wall ‘inside the existing wall, and ' painting in the different dimen- sion lines, He said there's been large de- | mand for squash, so they decid- ed on the reconstruction at the college courts.
