Re: Pedesnian Crosswalk - Wellington at Patricia

Iam writing to request your assistance in obtaining pedestrian crosswalk painting on the
street at the above intersection. A crosswalk is painted across Wellington at the north
side of Laurier. There is no crosswalk across either Patricia or Wellington at that
intersection.

The B.C. Transit bus stop is located on Wellington, north of Patricia. Many of our
students have to cross both streets getting to the bus stop. This intersection at the corner
of our school site would be safer for the many students who cross the road at that point. '

We have two classes of Skill Development students with various handicaps. One of our
training procedures for them is to train them to. cross streets safely at crosswalks, As
there is no painted crosswalk at Wellington and Patricia it is difficult to teach them and is
unsafe for such students who rely on the existence of the painted crosswalk for their
direction.

Specifically, then, I reane : aint crosswalk markings at the intersection cf

Wellington and Patricia:

- acTOSS Patricia on the east side of Wellington
- across Wellington on the north side of Patricia
