RE: Hastings Junior Secondary School

Reference is made to your memorandum of June l4th, 1974, and the letter from
School District No. 43, dated October 20th, 1974. JI am also attaching a print
of drawing 211-48 showing the location of the proposed school with respect to
the requested Hastings Street access. The Public Works Committee discussed
this request earlier this year and outlined the following requirements.

1. Lincoln Avenue not be constructed.

2. The Hastings Street access would stop at the parking lot and no through
traffic to be permitted to the Northerly access from the District of
Coquitiam.

These requirements have been agreed to by School District No. 43 and it is
therefore recommended that Council agree to repeal Bylaw No. 1185 which
stopped up and closed the North part of Hastings Street,
