As you Lnow, the Greater Vancouver Regional District
has undertoken hoysing as one of Its functions and the Housing Department
Is now commencing operotions.

Although general guidance ond help will be given by the
municipal representotives on the Board, the personal essistance of all individ-
vol cities ond municipalities will be required to make the programme work to
cl! of our advantages,

The suggested methods of development are voried ond
will be put into operation in the near future; howev [, ony prog of
construction has ona mojor, very essential prerequisite before it con
commence ~ that fs, of course, the availability of fond.

It is felt that each city or municipality will hove within
its portfolio land which is suitable for houting and which fs either thus zoned
er may be rezoned withaut too much difficulty.

The Housing Committee would bs groteful if it could be
mods cwore of ony such parcels of tond within your City ond which your
Council would be prepared to sell to the Regional Distclet ot market price.

"We would, therefore, appreciote you having your Planning
Consultants send details of any such lend within your City to the ottention of
Williom E. Cosson, Director of Housing, Greater Vancouver Regional District.
