February 28, 1994/054 A regular meeting of the Municipal Council of the Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam was held in the Council Chambers, Port Coquitlam City Hall, 2580 Shaughnessy Street, Port Coquitlam, BC on Monday, February 28th, 1994, at 7:30 p m. Mayor L.M. Traboulay and MJ. Gordon, J.J. Keryluk, W.W. Stewart, R.H. Talbot, and M.A. Thompson were in attendance. Also in attendance were Acting City Administrator J.G.S. Maitland, City Clerk S. Rauh, City Engineer LR. Zahynacz, Director of Community Planning C.R. Felip, and Fire Chief J.L. Baillie. CONFIRMATION OF MINUTES: Moved by Councillor Keryluk: Seconded by Councillor Stewart: That the minutes of the Public Hearing and Regular Council Meeting of February 21st, 1994 be taken as read and adopted. Carried, PROCLAMATION: Whereas the ARC Arts Council works to promote cultural opportunities that fulfill the needs of the community; ' And whereas the ARC Arts Council acts as a resource and advocacy vehicle for the arts in the community And whereas the ARC Arts Council is presenting ARTS ALIVE! a month long celebration of the arts featuring events and exhibitions running throughout March; And whereas the citizens of Port Coquitlam, British Columbia are supporters of the arts that enrich their community; Now therefore I, Leonard M. Traboulay, Mayor of the Corporation of The City of Port Coquitlam DO HEREBY PROCLAIM the month of March, 1994 as "ARTS AWARENESS MONTH" in the City of Port Coquitlam. ‘His Worship Mayor L.M. Traboulay appointed Councillor W.W. Stewart as Council Representative for the ARC Arts Council Committee replacing Councillor M.A. Thompson. At 7:46 p.m. Councillor Gates arrived at the Council Meeting and took his seat at the table.
