November 10th, 1986 /2097 A Public Hearing pursuant to Section 956 of the Municipal Council of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitiam was held in the Counci | Chamber, Port Coquitlam City Hall on Monday, November 10th, 1986 at 7:30 Pem. His Worship Mayor L.M. Traboulay, Aldermen M.C. Farnworth, M.D. Gates, J.J. Keryluk, G.R. Laking, W.W. Stewart and M.R. Wright in attendance. Also in attendance were City Administrator B.R. Kirk, City Clerk R.A. Freeman, City Engineer F.E. Peters, P. Eng., Director of Community Planning W.A. Brown, Parks & Recreation Director K.J. Taylor, and Secretary Susan Rauh. ZONING PUBLIC HEARING: His Worship Mayor L.M. Traboulay advised the following proposed Bylaw to amend the "City of Port Coquitlam Zoning Bylaw, 1979, No. 1651" would Jow be considered: BL/01/86/11/10/01 Bylaw No. 2213: To rezone Lot 450, District Lot 466, Group One, Plan 71228, New Westminster District from RS-| (Single Family Residential) to RT-1(Two Family Residential. The property is addressed as 1825 Westminster Avenue and the rezoning would permit the construction of a two-family dwelling on the property. The following people were present at the Zoning Public Hearing and expressed their views on the proposed rezoning: Mr. Dennis Turner, 2919 Coventry Crescent, advised he was opposed to to the proposed rezoning and expressed concern regarding the type of duplex to be constructed. Ms. Donna Ewing, 2931 Coventry Crescent, advised she was opposed to the proposed rezoning and expressed concern regarding a possible decrease In surrounding property value, and Inquired if the duplex would be rented or self owned. Mr. Jack Geisbrecht, 2950 Oxford Street, advised he was in favor of proposed rezoning, being the realtor selling the side by side duplex.
