THE CORVORATION OF THE CTLY OF PORT COQUTTLAM: 4 BY-LAW NO. 1742 U iN C | [ A ly~law to provide for the payment of an dndemnity to the MAR 3 1989 Mayor and Aldermen of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam, WHEREAS under and by virtue of Section 200 of the "Municipal Act" being Chapter 255 of the Revised Statues of British Columbia, 1960, and Amendments thereto, the Council may by by-law provide for paying out of the annual revenue an indemnity to the Mayor and Aldermen of The Corporation of che City of Port Coquitlam, and may provide that a pertion of the said indemnity to be paid to the Mayor and Aldermen shall be paid as an allowance for expenses incidental. to the discharge of the duties of their respective offices; NOW THEREFORE the Municipal Council of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam, in open meating assembled, enacts an follows: i, During the period extending from the First day of January, 1960 to the {iret Monday after the First day of December, 1980, there shall be paid to the Mayor of The Corporation of the City of Pore Coquitlam, an indemnity of Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20,000.00) per annum of which said indemnity tha sum of Six Thousand Six Hundred Sixty~ six Dollars and Sixty-six Cents ($6,666.66) uhall ba paid apn an allowance for axpendes incidental to the discharge of the duties of his office. 2. Durdng the porfod extending from the First day of January, 1960 to the first Monday after the First day of December, 1980, thera shall be paid to each of the Aldermen of The Corperation of the City of Port Coquitlam, an indemnity of Six Thousand Four Hundred Fifty Dollars ($6,450.00) por annum of which eaid indemnity the aum of Two Thousand One Hundred Fifty Dollars (ยง2,150.00) shall be paid as an allowance for expenses incidental to the discharge of thea duties of hta office. 3. The indemnity provided for in Sections 1 and 2 hereof shall be paid by the City Treasuror in eleven equal monthiy installments during the monthe of January through Novembar, ineluatve, to the person or persone entitled to receive sama without further order or resolution of tha Councd) #ave and except ag provided in Section 4 of this By-law. 4.
