A regular meeting of the Municipal Council of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam was held in the Council Chambers, Port Coquitlam City Hall, 2272 McAllister Avenue, Port Coquitlam, B.C. on February 18th, 1980 at 7:30 p.m. His Worship Mayor G.R. Laking, Aldermen M.D. Gates, J.J. Keryluk, E.W. Mabbett, P.F. Ranger, L.M. Traboulay and M.R. Wright in attendance. Also in attendance ware Chief Administrative Officer L.D. Pollock, City Clerk R.A. Freeman, City Engineer F.E. Peters, P. Eng., Assistant City Engineer L. Melnechenko, P. Eng., City Planner L. Lee, City Treasurer J.G.S. Maitland, Fire Chief W.S. Wingrove, Deputy Fire Chief J.N. Boileau, Recreation Director K.J. Taylor, Works & Utilities Superintendent G.W. Ulmer and Mrs. D.L. Vyse. ZONING PUBLIC HEARING: His Worship Mayor G.R. Laking advised the meeting the following Zoning Public Hearing: Proposed By-law to amend the "City of Port Coquitlam Zoning By-law, No. 1731 - City of Pt. Coq. 1979, No. 1651'"' would now be considered. Zoning B/L, 1979, Ne. 1651, Amend. B/L, 1980 (NE Cor. Mary To rezone Lots 5, 4, 7, and 8, Block 20, District Lot 463, Group 1, Hill & Wilson) By-law No. 1731: Plan 1997, New Westminster District from RS-2 to C-4. The City Planner then explained the proposed rezoning stating that the property is located at the North East corner of Mary Hill Road and Wilson Avenue and it is expected that a one storey retail/commercial building with approximately 8,185 square feet of retail floor area will be constructed on the property following completion of the rezcning procedures. The City Clerk advised receipt of a letter from Mr. & Mrs. R. Graham, 2600 Mary Hill Road, protesting the rezoning of the property from RS~2 to C-4. No. 1732 - City of Pt. Coq. Zoning B/L, 1979, No. 1651, Amend. B/L, 1980 (3310 Coast Meridian Rd.) Mayor Laking advised the developer was prepared to reconsider his development if the proposed Justice Building required the site. His Worship Mayor G.R. Laking advised the meeting the following proposed By-law to amend the "City of Port Coquitlam Zoning By-law, 1979, No. 1651" would now be considered. By-law No, 1732: To rezone Lot 77, North West Quarter of Section 6, Township 40, Plan 33655, New Westminster District, from CS-1 to C-2.
