Moved by Alderman Traboulay: Seconded by Alderman Laking: That the Municipal Council of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam petition the Greater Vancouver Housing Corporation to set aside at least 25% of the 202 units at Meridian Village for reatal to low-income families at no more than 25% of such renters' incomes. Alderman Ranger voted against the resolution. z Ald.Traboulay re Alderman Traboulay advised of complaints he had received concerning i mtce.ball diamonds, City Haiiz the lack of maintenance being afforded baseball diamonds in City parks, grounds,etc. and stated he had explained that the crews were presently involved in developing the City’s new nursery. Alderman Traboulay then commented on the weeds growing in front of the City Hall; however, Acting-Mayor Alder- man Mabbett stated the City Engineer advised him that between developing the nursery and lack of funds because of the tight budget, all the demands cannot be met. Ald.Traboulay re Alderman Traboulay referred to the Spring Programme of the Recreation reservations-indoor badminton & Department and inquired as to how the arrangement is working out whereby tennis courts individuals or family groups who pay the required registration fees for indoor badminton or tennis are able to set aside time on the courts, and the Recreation Director advised that the response is not as expected since only about 50% of the time allotted therefor is being used.
