Born in Amsterdam, Holland and came to Canada with his family in 1913. He was 88 years of age. He tived all his early life in Vancouver, moving to Terrace, B.C. in the 1940's where he owned and operated Duke's Cartage, he then joined Columbia Cellulose and retired {rom thera in 1968, he was also a life member of the Kinsmen club. Since then he has resided in Parksville. Duke is prede- ceased by his wife Hilda and daughters Marle and Peggy. Survived by his loving wife Mary and step-daughter Carol (Doug); daughter Lorraine (Otto) and family in Port Coquitlam, also survived by several grandchil- dren. No service by Duke's request.
