SUBJECT 1982 Bantam Tournament

RECOMMENDATION:

a) That the November, 1980 resolution of Council,
‘which states "That Minor Hockey be permitted to hold
the Bantam Tournament, as requested, in 1981 and that
the ice be removed from the old arena On March. 31st
each year thereafter", be. rescinded.

b) That the Minor Hockey Association be Permitted to
host the 1982 Bantam Tournament from March 29th to
April 3rd, 1982,

c) That the Association be permitted to use all the
facilities of the Port Recreation Centre,

qa) That they be charged a rental fee for half the ice
time used during the tournament.

e) That the City operate the concession during the
tournament.

BACKGROUND AND COMMENTS:

The Minor Hockey Association and the Minor Lacrosse
Association have been meeting over the past few weeks to
discuss the question the 1982 Bantam Tourna-
