October 18th, 1982 A regular meeting of the Municipal Council of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam was held in the Council Chamber, Port Coquitlam City Hall, 2272 McAllister Avenue, Port Coquitlam, B.C. on October 18th, 1982 at 7:30 p.m. His Worship Mayor L.M. Traboulay, Aldermen M.D. Gates, G.R. Laking, E.W. Mabbett, A.K. Muldoon, and M.R. Wright in attendance. Also in attendance were Chief Administrative Officer B.R. Kirk, City Clerk R.A. Freeman, City Engineer F.E. Peters, P. Eng-, Director of Community Planning W. Brown, Recreation Director K.J. Taylor and Recording Secretary D. Vyse. CONFIRMATION OF MINUTES: Moved by Alderman Mabbett: Seconded by Alderman Laking: That the minutes of the regular Council meeting held on October 4th, 1982, be taken as read and adopted. Carried. DELEGATION: His Worship Mayor L.M. Traboulay introduced Mrs. Shirley Armillotta, President of the Port Coquitlam Amateur Athletic Association who then made. a presentation to Council regarding the function of the Port Coquitlam Amateur Athletic Association and minor sports in the City. CORRESPONDENCE s From the Port Coquitlam Amateur Athletic Association, October 13th, 1982 regarding a request that the City of Port Coquitlam reconsider bidding for the 1986 Summer Games. Moved by Alderman Muldoon: Seconded by Alderman Laking: That.a Port Coquitlam Amateur Athletic Association representative be invited to sit on the ad hoc Committee established to study the costs and facility requirements involved regarding the possibility of hosting Future summer games in School District No. 43.
