I have recently received a request from B.C. felephone to
install a pay telephone booth in the vicinity of the Shaughnessy -
McAllister intersection. The B.C. Telephone representative stated
that there is a very great demand for them to provide this service to
the public in this area. We have reviewed this request and worked
with B.C. Telephone in order to suggest a suitable location and have
concluded that it is extremely difficult to find a suitable location
in this area.

There does appear to be one possible suitable location and
this is shown on the attached drawing no. 211-59. I have indicated
to B.C. Telephone that this suggested location would be presented to
Council for consideration. .
