Greetings,

For Christmas, our group has been invited to a restaurant ,

named Ambrosia, it is so fun there and the owners are great
people.

We will be helping cook the food and deinitely be helping

eat it too. I’m so excited, it’s going to taste great.
On our new year’s we have been granted the Community

Hall for free all night which will be awesome, we have Abby “

to thank for this great gift.

Both the Nanaimo and Parksville -Katimavik houses have | 4
been invited so hopefully they both end up being able to

come out for the night.

Other then that we have been helping out around the com-

munity at places like the recycling area and places like that.

. We havn’t gol much else planned for the Moment. but

things are coming up all the time.

_ I'd like to say that Katimavik has already changed my

outlook on life..

It is right for anyone, volunteering gets. you ‘noticed and I
. hope people get inspired by what I have had to say so far. ,

in the Middle: East

Greetings,

Merry Christmas to all of our friends in' Terrace
-and Kitimat. We are currently living and. working in”
Oman, a beautiful, calm, peaceful country in-the Mid--
die East. We will have a quict Christmas, with a few .
-new friends joining us for a_ traditional Canadian

Christmas dinner! ;
Although Oman ‘isa Muslim country we were
“pleasantly surprised to find a Christmas tree, a turkey, -
- and almost all the other Christmas necessities.

All we will be missing are our family and friends...
and of course the snow!! (it will likely be i in the high
20’s) " :
