B10 - The Terrace Standard, Wednesday, De From BS The Tuesday night match-up saw Team White return to the ice, this time to take on Team Blue. Team Blue opened the scoring at 11:36 of the first, on a goal from Kristian Gough. © Blue continued in the second period with a goal at 8:28 from Bryan Bandstra. Not quite the start that White was looking for, but there was still plenty of time left and near the end of the middle frame, Team Blue ran into trouble. With 1:01 to go, Dan Matthews scored to put White on the board, and then with only 11 seconds left, Jeff Myers scored and just like that — this game was tied. The shift was the game’s turning point, and White poured in on. At 14:11 of the final period, Dan Matthews scored his second of the game and just over a min- ute later, Clayton Heenan nailed a point shot to get his first of the year. At 3:24, Tysen Leblond scored his lea- gue-leading 28th goal of the year and if that wasn’t enough, Dan Matthews cap- ped off his hat trick and got his third of the game with only 11 seconds. left. White extended their unbeaten streak to 4 games by defeating Team Blue 6-2. The Thursday night match-up was the week's most exciting match-up, and an- other meeting between Team Red and Team Blue. At 3:46, Ryan Beaulieu scored again, and narrowed the lead to 4-3, The game was proving to be — an uphill battle for Blue, With 1:29 to go,’ Ryan Hailam scored his second of the game for Team Red and after 2 periods the score was 5-3 for Red. In the third, Ryan Beaulieu completed his hat trick. At 9:21, he scored his third of the contest and once again narrowed | Red's lead to 1 goal. Soon after, Red was back in the Blue end and Tyler Sheasby was on the door-' step scoring to put Red up 6-4, Beaulieu wasn’t done scoring for Blue and at 6:26 he scored to narrow the gap to 6-5. Blue kept getting close, but could not tie the game — that is until 3:21 when Blue’s Branden Green capitalized on a Team Red goaltending error and tied the game at 6 with only a few. minutes left. At 1:06, Team Red had a face-off in the Blue end, and after a shot from the face-off dot, Jack Haworth was at the net to scoop up the rebound and score the go- ahead goal for the Red team.
