Last year, the GVRD Board requested an endorsement of the
attached 10 recommendations. . 7 / ;

On Juty 8, 1983 the Minister of Municipal Affairs introduced
Bill 9 - The Municipal ‘Amendment Act 1983 which would remove
entirely. the’ regiona! planning responsibilities of regional
districts. _ ;

The GVRD Board requests that Council re-examine the 10
recommendations (attached) and convey our position to the
Minister of Municipal Affairs, to Mark Rose, our local MLA and
to the GVRD Board. . a - : tee
