From the Land Sales Committee, July 9th, 1976 with respect to the Land Sales Comm. re closure of closure of a road allowance adajcent to Mary Hill Road, South of Pitt toad allowance adjacent to M.H.kd, River Road and a request from the owner to south for 11 feet of the road allowance as access to his garage. The Committee recommends that consents of the adjacent owners be obtained and that 11 feet of the present road allowance be dedicated to the owner to the south providing he pay the related costs and that the City obtains title to the remaining piece of road allowance, Moved by Alderman Thompson: Seconded by Alderman Mabbett: That the recommendation of the Land Sales Committee in its report dated July 9th, 1976 with respect to the closure of a road allowance adjacent to Mary Hill Road, south of Pitt River Road and the dedication of 11 feet thereof to the ower to the south (providing he pay the related costs) and that the City obtain title to the remaining niace of road allowance, be approved, Carried, Alderman Ranger queried whether Council policy will be upheld with respect to the option of refusal to the adjacent property owners and the City Clerk advised that it is policy tu pest a Notice at the City Hall advising what the City intends to do with land it then owns (by virtue of transfer of title from the Crown) so that all persons will have the Opportunity to bid on the property or make any alternate Proposal for the City's consideration.
