Mest o> the damage was to the tor floor which was near Completion, much of the Flaster and Grywall rust new be replaced, ° We were. called by the District ot assist in a house fire at the top end of Coast Meridian; this was early in the morning and arproxinately 6 inches of srow had fallen. ise hed no trcuble getting there, tut the house was comrletely burned before we arrived, so we turned arcund and came hore. Vandals ignited a large covered garbage centainer- after filling it with wooden soft drink shells. 32 inhalator calls, 7 motor vehicle accidents, 5 overdoses, 1 industrial accident, and 3 Feople injured while inebriated. 4 boy auffered head injuries vhile rleying hockey at the Sports Centre, There were 15 calls to homes vith reople suffering heart attacks, strokes, breathing trouble and broken limbs, due te falis on icy walks, . 1971 showed a marked reduction in fire losses and arproximately a@ third increase in inhalator calis.
