PRESIDENT'’S REPORT

Iwould like to extend my best wishes Lo everyone now
that summer and vacation time is lurking on the ho-
tizon, There is an exciting workshop in July with
Walter Keeler and I hope many of you will be able to
altend. The library has received some new books from
Japan courtesy of David Adamanchuk (a former
Vancouver resident) and the Idemitsu Museum of
Tokyo, as well, there are several Contact Magazines
{Alberta Potter's Association mag.) for sale at cost
courtesy of Anna Holbeck who bought them back from
the recent clay symposium in. Alberta. [hope everyone
will have a good summer be it travelling, potting, or
just hanging out.

Library would like to remind everyone to have all their
overdue books returned in June, 1988,

New addition to the Ubrary is: South American Folk
Pottery, by Gertrude Litto, showing the traditional
techniques from Peru, Ecuador, Bolivia, Venezuela,
Chile and Columbia, Excellent write up and Mllustra-
tions from each area.

Walter Keeler - well known British saltglaze potter
will present a workshop and demonstration Satur-
day July 30th - Sunday July 3ist 10:00 a.m. to
4:00 p.m. [location to be confirmed]

Cost: $40.00 for members and students; $50.00
non-members. A slide presentation will also be
held Friday evening July 29th for workshop par-
ticipants and the general public. For more infor-
