Wayne is the 1985 recipient of the Saidye Bronfman Award for
Excellence in the Crafts as presented annually by the Cana-
dian Crafts Council. The award is presented to an out-
standing Canadian craftsman nominated by a member association
of the Canadian Crafts Council. This year there were 21
nominees. Wayne was nominated by Ceramists Canada. He

is the third B.C. craftsman to be so honoured - Robin Hopper,
1977 and Joanna Staniszkis, 1981. He is also a member of

the Potters Guild of H.C, and lives on Hornby Island.
