Terrace Review — Wednesday, August 13, 1986 9 Seven tubs enter Lakelse annual water race Tubs skippered by Mark Van Herd and Mike Kustas shared win- ning honors as_ each placed first in two of the four Riverboat Day bathtub races at Furlong Bay Sunday. Van Herd, in a tub sponsored by the Teamsters and Tertace Equipment, won the CFTK challenge cup, and the Terrace ‘Tub Club’ table race. Kustas and his tub sponsored by Ken’s Marine and Thornhill Pub, crossed the finish line first in the Valley Oxygen Unlimited event, and the Far West Prince Rupert took third place in two races, while fellow Rupertite Lloyd Etzerza had a second and a third to top outside en- tries. Tom Hallock’ also took a third-place spot. Seven tubs entered this annual event at Lakelse Lake.
