These reports have been sent to the provincial department: of mines, and that live department is now sending Douglas Lay, resident mining engineer at Ha- zelton, to investigate and report officially'upon the galena deposits as wellas the mica deposits and other minerals that may be en- countered, The presence of min- erals in any great tonnage will | have a considerable hearing upon the construction :of the Peace River railway and the éxtension of the P.G.E. If the galena deposits are found to be anything like the reports, those deposits alone will justify a railway with. out the wheat or other agricul- tural lands, Mr, Lay will leave within the next few days to meet the mana- rer of the General Holdings Co., of Edmcnton, at Prince George. decide whether to celebrate that day or and go ‘announce to the public at large. a -Olof Hanson reports. ‘@ much. improve |, éd condition in the pole and piling mar- ket and there is no doubt but that all]: camps will keep going all summer.
