SIMEIRING OEPT 1GQ9 Public Works Committe Fort Coquitlam, B.C Dear Committee Members i i! are writing as a group of neighbours to ask that you pave -the.sscn_.. | tion of Coast Meridian Road between Westminster Avenue and Coquitlam Avenue problem is that people turning lett onto Birchland must stop on t Meridian to wait for oncoming traffic. This causes the drive nd them to move to their right, off of the pavement, and onto ‘rel areas in front of our homes. This not only causes a lot 3 9 vise, dut makes for an unsafe situation. There are very deep potholes in the gravel fringe and ftratfic does not slow down when they go over them. The city wastes good money to send 4 grader around once or twice in the summer. This only serves tec sovead the gravel onto our own paved exits ws The city also sends crews around to put tar in these pothole: only lasts for a couple of weeks, Occassionally they spray é over the gravel that we then track into our homes We feel that this area should be developed so that money is not was gated on these useless maintenance procedures. Coast Meridian has be ecome one of two main ways to get to Lougheed Highway from all the residen- -ial areas to the east of us (Birchland, Lincoln Park). [It is in our best interest that this be done. We would appreciate that be taken on this imatter in the near future, ea ~ bo \ i) N Jou Qu Corsa + Conbher Grvpoot ’ ' f :
