Trailer Court Proposal

RECOMMENDATIONS: THAT City Counci | advise the Coasiitlam Band
that it has nO objection te their seeking :
deveiopers to. build a mobile home court. , :

AND THAT City Counci| authorise staff to

_ Prepare cost estimates and legal eareements
for providing community. services for a mobile
home court on the Coquittam Reserve.

BACKGROUND:

Several years ago the Coquitlam Sand approached the City about
development on the reserve and the feasibility of building a
gelf course. For @ number of reasons,. the development did not
Proceed beyond the creation of a lot under separate title for

development. The current Proposal {Is to be located on that
lot.

COMMENTS:

1) The development concept being proposed is. a {27 untt mobile
court. Like similar Projects in the Westbank area near
Keiowna the development is to be carried out and operated
by a private firm on a bare land tease basis.

2) Port Coquittam's role in this development is restricted +o }
its Providing community services (eg. utilities,
‘recreation, police and school) to the devetfopment. {¢ City oo.
Council is tn agreement with the concept of having a mobile a
home court at this location, Recommendation One, i+ will be
necessary for staff to identify servicing requi--ements for :
the development along with thelr costs and to prepare a _
legal agreement to cover implementation and tax payment, ;
