Re: ‘ax Exemption to South Side Baptist Church,
2211 Pitt River Road

The South Side Baptist Church has, for some years now, been exempt

from the payment of taxes on three of the lots that comprise their property

at the North-west corner of Pitt River and Mary Hill Roads. he Church has now

acquired an adjacent piece of property described as the "South half of Lot 5" and

under date-of January 12th, 1976 we received a request from the Church for exemp~
tion on this lot as well.
This request was forwarded to the Finance Committee on February 13th,
1976 the Committee approved the extension of the exemption to the additional lot.
Accordingly, By-law No. 1423 has been prepared and a photocopy is

shown on the reverse side of this memorandum. The By-law is now available for

first three readings.
