Prior to the question being called on the foregoing resolution, Alderman - Traboulay inquired as to the per diem.rate Mr. Kallen would be receiving for his part-time work in 1973, and the City Administrator advised that it would be ap- proximately 20% of the salary paid. Alderman Traboulay commended Mr. Kallen, who was in attendance at the meeting, on his. work in co-ordinating the 1973 May Day, and inquired as to the progress being made for the 1974 celebration. Mr. Kallen advised that he is, working on a new theme called "Children of Canada" involving the different ethnic groups and that he has. invited a well-known celebrity to participate as a special guest at the celebrations.
