and Port Hoody charge on an hourly basis for use “of their arenas for school spon-
sored skating parties and he sugges sted ‘that this policy be follewed in Port
Coquitlam ; as well. UA ‘discussion ensued, ‘and. ‘Aldernan Laking pointed out chat the -
nresent charges were set st by t the Council - in “1971, but that the Parks ‘& Recreation
Comiittee are e examining all the rates charged for. the \ use of the. Recreation Centre
and stated that an \ inequitable situation ‘could be created if the x: tates were che nged
in the middle of a skatang season and he suggested that any change await complation
of the present review. Alderman Meyer agreed with Alderman Laking and stated that
he could net make a decision on a small aspect of the rate structure alone, but
would want to have a look at the total rate schedule befor e na‘cing a decision. Ald-
erman an Trabowlay suggested that “Lf it was possible for Coquitlam and Port Moody to
allow use of their recreatba centres fox $6.00 and $8.00 per hour the same should

be done in the City of Port Coquitlam.
