When the dragon is dry it can be bisque fired, the
kiln being left on low overnight. Niel uses a spray
bottle to glaze with a white glaze, then applies colouring
oxides and fires at 8. Then another white glaze is
sprayed on and fired at 6. Pieces ara supported on
stilts made of clay and kiln washed for firing.

It would have been wonderful to have seen the dragon
completed with Niel'sa exquisite detailing, but the clock
brought an end to the evening long before we were ready.
