An application for a Water Revenue Sharing Grant for 25% of the project costs has been
submitted to Municipal Affairs. Initial indications are that this grant (for 10,000) may not be
approved until the fall of 1991. It is recommended that Council allocated all of the water project
costs ($240,000) from the Water Utility Capital Reserve Fund at this time. If the Water Revenue
Sharing Grant is approved in the fall, the final allocation from the Water Utility Fund would be
reduced by the grant amount.

The Public Works Committee recommends that the Westwood road and water project be
awarded to Maple Leaf Construction Lid. based on the tendered price of $634,507.50.
